Iranian Navy Clash with Iraqi Navy 1362 (1983)
In 1983 Iraqi Navy was to re-emerge to launch a number of attacks against Iranian Oil Platforms in Northern Persian Gulf (North and East of Kharg Island). During a number of clashes IR Navy Shamashir FAC(M)was to destroy a number attacking Iraqi OSA FAC(M), plus Exocet armed Super Ferlon Helicopters.
Above pictures taken in Bushehr Naval base with arrival of IR Navy Shamshir FAM(M) which was responsible to sinking a number of those OSA FAC(M). Also recovered the Iraqi Navy crew from waters of Persian Gulf.
